Henry Turnip 2020
Henry Turnip is Chloe’s second picture book with Walker Books Australia, published on the 1st of June, 2020. It is available in both hardback and paperback.
Henry Turnip has been selected as one of the books included in the 2020 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge, as well as being shortlisted for Speech Pathology Australia’s, 2021 Book of the Year Award.
Henry Turnip is an inclusive every-kid story. It explores the themes of anxiety, shyness, friendship, and accepting and embracing those who are a little different from us.
It focuses on a child panda, who is very particular about the way he likes things and struggles with worry/anxiety.
Though his world slowly begins to change when he meets Reuben Moon! Reuben is an adventurous rabbit and the kind of friend that helps Henry feel a little braver and more confident.

Maple the Brave is Chloe’s debut children’s book which explores the themes of bravery, resilience, and friendship. It has been included in both the 2019 and 2020 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge.
Maple lives in a treehouse in the woods. She’s scared of most things, especially the animals who live below.
Though one day, when she bravely steps out of her comfort zone, she finds that the animals are really quite kind.
With their help, she awakens a sense of bravery she never knew she had.
